POWER IN LIFE
We want the power to cause those things that we want.
So, we've created a section, under Life Management, called Power In Life. That section delineates what a powerful person would do and what generates actual power (versus what dissipates or contradicts it).
However, without wisdom we cannot direct our power to where it is most productive. And, as such, I would contend that Wisdom is a necessary component of being powerful in life.
Power is simply the ability to cause something and, in this context, it is the ability to be quite effective in causing what you want in life. Wisdom gives you the knowledge and perspective to use power in a more productive way.
AND...having wisdom increases one's actual power also, as it eliminates much of what is limiting oneself, so that power can be unleashed and/or simply not opposed or held back.
THE PATH TO WISDOM
Wisdom is one of the main ways of creating power in life. (I recommend it!)
Note that "thinking" and "learning" are all essential pathways to increasing one's wisdom and thus one's "power" in life. You'll want to read that overview. Also, a factor in any learning and thinking and so especially in acquiring wisdom is making Distinctions.
Meanwhile, read this, as it involves possibly the biggest decision you'll ever make in your life:
Where do we get it?
How not to do it
What level do you choose to stop at?
Read the above, then decide for yourself what you will do, other than considering this another good idea!
SOURCES OF POWERFULNESS
When one is wise, one will choose the following, a few selections from other parts of the site:
A Powerful Viewpoint
A Powerful Practice:
Read and practice Powerful Languaging. The difference in energy that is derived from simply changing the tenor of one's languaging is immense.
WHERE TO GO NEXT?
Lots of choices, of course. Power In Life provides a good coverage of the components of how to be powerful in life - and it will direct you to the handling of what gets in the way of being powerful (which is the same thing that gets in the way of being happy!).
