If one stops and thinks before one does something requiring a better decision, one will live a better life, with better decisions.

And if one keeps oneself in a well-rested, centered state of homeostasis, one makes better decisions, besides just feeling better anyway.

So, my objective in my life is to assure that I live in a high state of resourcefulness, refreshed and capable - and to not allow myself to be in a passive state (unless resting), as I know I dissipate and go down hill in that state.  (It is in that condition that I distract myself with TV or ice cream or a computer game (and then get hooked, wasting several hours of my precious life, flushing the gift down the sewer.)

So..
___________________________________________________________

MY NUMBER ONE GOAL IS TO:

Assure that I am in a well-rested, high resourceful state at all times (or in emergencies to return to it as soon as I can, but only leaving it in emergencies).   I commit myself to being fresh every day, all day!

TO DO THIS, I MUST...

Rest, refresh, and give my self pauses to breathe and relax

Pause, pace, and plan as I go through my day.

Never let myself get tired.   I can never let myself go into a tired/dysfunctional state, whiling away my time or seeking relief in some way.  When tired, I rest, even if it might throw off my night's sleep a bit.  I simply do not allow myself to be tired.  I return to homeostasis as soon as I can.  And, to use the evening effectively, I make sure I am rested and refreshed, with a full nap if needed.  I do not put that off in hopes of seeking to be stimulated, as I know all I need is a good rest, not a stimulus distraction.

Strict regular bedtime.  I make sure I have a strict regular bedtime, no later than 12 midnight, no excuses (as violating this can throw my systems out of whack for a full day).  And I sleep until refreshed, then using my morning restarting, revitalization routine.

Claim my day at the beginning"On this day, I choose to live as my higher self - and to create a day worthy of that."

Go to 'relax, breathe, space'.  When tempted to distract myself, I get 'relief' by closing my eyes and doing some deep breathing and relaxing of my muscles, until I feel refreshed.  I do this frequently.   I do not, except for targeted minimal programs, allow myself to watch TV.

Not tolerate passiveness.  The minute I become passive, I wake myself into proactivity, using the noticing of any passivity as a signal to get rested and/or proactively engaged (or moving).

Exercise every day if possible, but no less than 5 days/week, rigorously for 20+ minutes, to move toxins out of my body and to strengthen my body to keep homeostasis. .

Eat no processed foods, as the list of what that does to my body is devastating.  Meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts in moderation, no sugars or artificial sweeteners (only stevia), no grains/bread, no non-naturally occurring food.

Process any state of "out-emotion" asap.  I must intervene as I notice any "outness" in my body or thinking - and process it so it is straight and handled.

THIS IS AM COMMITTED TO AND CLEAR ABOUT

This I see the need for and am committed to.  With this I will always make better choices and feel better.

THE ROUTINES AFTER THIS

My routines and how I use my time is specified on a separate list, which I also commit to, so that I can maximize my life, with ease, calm, grace.
