WHY LIFE IS VERY GOOD
(ACTUALLY GREAT!)

#1 REALIZATION OF REALITY IN LIFE

LIFE IS ACTUALLY GREAT AS IS!

It's a wonderful, miraculous privilege that is absolutely incredible.

It's an opportunity for enduring happiness, enduring "feel goods".

There's lots of opportunity for interesting experiences and fun!

HOW NOT TO EXPERIENCE THIS

The only way one doesn't experience this is through the erroneous thinking:

1.  Around "right/wrong/blame", "not good enough", and "there is lots of danger" dysfunctional beliefs.

2. When we are afraid to lose, when there is virtually nothing to lose.

We let ourselves be run by childish beliefs, unexamined and seemingly automatically running us.

HOW TO EXPERIENCE THAT LIFE IS GREAT

One key is to remove victim thinking.  Once victim thinking is removed and one realizes that the only route is now to be a Rational, Nurturing Adult, one can start being fully responsible for putting one's effort into building ways of appreciating life more and more fully.

Each dysfunctional, childish belief (which is any belief that has you feeling bad) must be cognitively examined.  Once the beliefs that create unhappiness (under the umbrellas mentioned above, in bold print) are re-worked to what is true, there is only an incredible life left to live, where the only criterion is "what works", where we accept all undesired outcomes as being no big deal in the overall scheme of life.

Since unhappiness is often around "what is missing", one of the practices that is at the highest productivity level is that of Gratitude.  Read that section and adopt what it says.

One can then concentrate on "going for it" directly, as in playing this game:
Feeling Good Vs. Feeling Bad - Creating The Biggest "Net" Feel Good.

THE BOTTOM LINE

All that happens in life is strictly neutral, with no meaning except the one we add to it.  We can accept as just an experience of life that there is pain and undesired outcomes that occur but that they have no significance - and that we can just look at them and move on to create more of what we want.  So what we ordinarily hold as "negatives" (or "unhappies") are really not.

And what we appreciate is what makes life full - and there is plenty to appreciate.

A LITTLE SIDE EXERCISE

Take as your base level whatever we had as cavemen (except use "being a toad" as the baseline for your body and brain and Mars for how the world could have been) and simply notice everything that is better than that - and while you're doing that either say "I appreciate _____" or "I notice ______" or "Isn't ________ such a miracle that we created!".

I appreciate electricity into the plug, the miracle of the internet and the computer, supermarkets, my car, the clicker to open the trunk, my incredible intelligence, the organized learning centers, a government that provides road and other benefits, the miracle of health care, the miracle of books providing information in a distinct form,  software, food in my house, my refrigerator, living in a house, my body functioning (and taking the abuse I sometimes give it), this keyboard, my mouse, the sun, the rain...

I guarantee that if you are feeling not so good that you will feel better about life if you simply do this (go for 20 items, and then keep going if you wish).

READINGS AND A FEW MORE PIECES THROUGH WHICH TO SEE LIFE WITH  BETTER PERSPECTIVE

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE? - Really.  A simple process to determine
what it actually is.  (Clue:  it is not "personal growth", "to be godly", or
pleasure, as these are mistaken for the purpose...]
Personal Meaning - What makes life meaningful, valuable?  This is what does
and this leads to determining how you can add more personal meaning to
your life.  The Reasons To Live - A separate inquiry to refocus.

Why Life Is (Very) Good - A separate section to identify this clearly.

Life Is A Miracle - Seeing life for the incredibly small chance it could have
  occurred at all...

Gratitude For The Basics Of Life (A poem, but a powerful one for gaining perspective) - This "viewpoint" and "seeing" will definitely add to your life.  Even Einstein acknowledged the power of this. - Judy Andersen
