Mind management includes "thought management".  Mind management would also include taking care of the functioning of the thinking brain so it works better.  It would include managing energy and our emotional state, so that we can be more effective and powerful in managing our thoughts.  Of course, our thought management circles around to affecting our emotional state - which is why in the blazes we want to manage thought!  However, thought management also includes inserting those thoughts that help us be more capable of getting what we want in life.  So, in a sense, the purpose of thought management is both to eliminate the negative thoughts so that we can eliminate the negative feelings and to create thoughts that get us more of what we want, including more good feelings.
