LIST OF WHAT TO DO IN ORDER OF HIGHEST IMPACT
FOLLOW THIS LIST - LIFE WILL BE FAR, FAR BETTER, EASIER, AND HAPPIER

To have a very good life, you MUST do these well.  If you try to get around doing them, you will not do nearly as well and are very unlikely to be happy.

Gain perspective, read all the life overview pieces in Life Management Contents/Links.
Read and know and operate your life from The 80/20 Principle.

Grade each one of these at this point as to your ability to do these skills, in terms of actual results you get in life.  A = Excellent, B = Good, C = Not so good, D = Awful, F = Disastrous

THE CORE CORE SKILLS WHICH WILL MAKE EVERYTHING ELSE WORK

(Because with these you can get anything you want.  AND you will have few problems in life.)

__ Learn to think well. (Ascertaining facts and using logic, no thinking distortions)
__ Learn to learn well. (Efficiently and effectively, systematically with expert info)
__ Learn to decide on what to do to problem solve. (Problems solved!  Few left, all small)

NEXT, LEARN HOW THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS WORK, OF COURSE!

__ Learn how centrally important things work (There's that word again: learn.)

   __ Mind
__ Learn how to motivate yourself and how not to stop yourself before completing
              something beneficial
__  Learn how the mind works, and
__ How to revise beliefs to what are true and workable
__ Do, install the revision (this is the #1 payoff in all of life)
   __ Body
       __  Regular routine for care
__ Sleep until naturally awake, must sleep 7-9 hrs, significant impairment below 7
                 hrs.
__ Maintain self as much as possible in proper "balance" (homeostasis) - otherwise
significantly impairs body repair, immunity, and other functions, causing
            significant degeneration over time.
   __  Time
__ Regular optimal routine and procedures to effectively use time
__  Vocation, Career - Satisfaction, money
__ Matched aptitudes - Liking what do, being more effective with strengths and
aptitudes more time for the rest of life also

__ Learn how to work those centrally important things

GETTING THE MOST IMPACT PER AMOUNT OF ENERGY

__ Create what supports getting the most benefit per amount of time, so that you doing well what is most effective in life to get you what you want.  (Institute procedures, including habits, so that things are done more effectively and more automatically [via a path to follow] and/or developing a habit that makes things easy and automatice)

__ Learn how to differentiate as to how much benefit comes from different choices (and certainly what does not produce benefits). Change "beliefs" about how certain things work.

__ Learn the basic skill of change, to effectively implement what you want in life. (To get anywhere different, you have to cause a change, though certain ones require more skill.)

__ Learn the skill of how to identify what is the highest impact on your life. Eliminate 40% -
60% of what you do.  Follow the 80/20 Principle for all areas of life!

AND, THEN...

Then you are "home free!" as you'll "always" be skillfully choosing what is of the most benefit, as a habit, a regular routine and practice.

And you'll not need me to continue this list (but you might want to read more pieces on this site). That is why I stopped where I stopped.  The order that you will choose beyond this is based on your "informed" values and the priority of those values.

The points to give to each:  A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = -l, F = -5.  What's your average? How about the average in the top 3 and the last 2?  Good enough for a great life?

You might ask: "Where's money on this list?!!"  Once you've learned the most important things, remember that you'll be able to decide what is of the next greatest benefit.  But by learning the preceding lessons you will be able to learn money in "the context" of how it benefits the rest of your life and not be stupid or narrow-sighted about money.  (Read the logic of the way to run investments simply and to run financial life in a more balanced, easier way, not listening to selling BS:  Checklist For Financial Success.

Notice I didn't list that you should identify the results you want nor such things as relationship skills.  Once you learn the first things first, above, then you will be able to choose which areas to bolster up based on what is most valuable - and from there you choose what is necessary to learn and implement. Because you will already have (above) the "keys to the kingdom", so to speak, so you can unlock any door you choose to and can be successful in anything you want to be.

______________

THE WISDOM OF SPORTS COACHES

The teams that get really, really good do one key thing.  And the really good players almost always object.

It's simple.  Go back to the basics and learn to do those superwell, for in combination they make up the sophisticated moves in action on the court.

The same goes for regular people seeking to be successful.  They will object to the basics, saying they don't need them (or they don't have the time).  But they do!

We humans must all follow the path delineated in Mastery Learning

The famous story

Coach: "Now this ball is called a football."

Player: "Could you slow down a little, coach?"
